JOINT COURSE WITH YALE FORESTRY SCHOOL _ PROFESSOR: NAOMI DARLING _ PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH STEPHANIE CARLISLE, TOM GIBBONS, KYLE WILLIAMS, SETH ZEREN _ FALL 2008 _ YALE UNIVERSITY
In the course we were asked to design a masterplan for a sustainable city and then develop a specific portion as a designed ecological experiment. The masterplan worked with an idea of small-scale, walkable city nodes connected by mass transit and surrounded by small-scale agriculture and protected wetlands. The ecological experiment expounded on the idea of mass transit connections and investigated different options for wildlife corridors and their impacts on human and animal and plant life over time.
