This project investigates the idea of field as a matrix within which several spatial orders, complementary or resistant, are held in suspension. It called for a transportation Landschaft near the New Haven train station. The project uses the existing qualities of different uses on varying sectional levels as a departure point. These uses are added to and amplified and yet simultaneously blurred. Existing platform surfaces peel up to become a new network of paths that interweave with existing systems. Smaller “inter-path paths” allow for crossing between and form another system. Larger paths delaminate at certain points, creating pods for indoor program.
