The competition for the redevelopment of an industrial quarter in Copenhagen called for the introduction of sustainable ideas and focus on use of the bike as the main form of transportation. This project attempts to take the vast spaces and scalar disjunct present on the peninsula due to its history of big industry and transform them into spaces scaled for the pedestrian and cyclist. Interwoven, smooth curve bicycle paths are introduced adjacent to changing typologies and formal configurations to allow for diversity when moving through the site. Old industrial piers are activated as public spaces with access to the waterfront.
